Dr Tasneem Patel is a registered Acupuncturist and Homeopath with a strong interest in women’s health, fertility support, pain management and holistic wellness. She has undertaken advanced clinical training in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and is one of the first five practitioners in South Africa formally trained in Pestle Needle Therapy.
She currently serves as Vice President of the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Africa (CMAAA) and is a Director on the Working Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).

Homeopathy

The insertion of very thin needles into specific points on the body. This is performed in accordance with diagnosis and traditional theories.
Acupuncture

This involves burning a specific herb near the skin at specific points along the meridians. This creates heat in this area which helps the healing process.
Moxibustion

This involves using glass cups and a small amount of heat to create suction against the skin. This is done to promote healing in the body.
Cupping

This involves the use of a series of manipulations and therapeutic scraping techniques to promote healing.
